The Count of Saint Simon, French philosopher and economist, designed the first set of revolutionary cards. It was manufactured by Juame and Dubourg in the year II (1793).
These cards have been republished from the originals, conserved in the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
The cards themselves have French markings.
"R" (for "Roi") is King.
"D" (for "Dame") is Queen.
"V" (for "Valet") is Jack.
"A" (for "As") is…Ace!
Made in France.
