The cheese Camembert is made exclusively in the region of Normandy, in northern France.
Camembert is a soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow's milk cheese. It was first made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy in northern France.
The cheese is made by inoculating warmed milk with mesophilic bacteria, then adding rennet and allowing the mixture to coagulate.
62 gold and silver medals, 3 degrees of honor ... is the reward of a unique savoir-faire combined with the love of a job well done which gives to the Lepetit Camembert the dough so soft, that inimitable flavor and this fine flower slightly mottled ocher.
