Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) painted four versions of the Sunflowers between August and September 1888. They were made to decorate his friend Paul Gauguin's bedroom in Arles.
The satin stripes in this silk chiffon scarf give it a subtle sheen. The hem is finished with a bourdon stitch.
